WHO IS SARA KALI ?

"I'm Sara Calle, but my connection to the mystical legend of Sara Kali goes beyond my name. In Brazil, where I graduated in Marine Biology and discovered my passion for jewelry-making, I started creating unique pieces as a hobby. Over time, I decided to open my own store under my name, but when I arrived in New York, I knew I wanted to do something more special.
The name my company is Sara Kali, in honor of the saint who has always inspired me. Sara Kali is a revered deity in the Gypsy community, symbolizing union, protection, and wisdom.

why jellyfish?
During a free diving experience, I unintentionally touched a jellyfish and was left unconscious. After that incident, I began dreaming of jellyfish and seeing one above me during meditation. But what impacted me the most was when, in a deep meditative state, I saw my own spirit leave my body and take the shape of a jellyfish. It was a powerful reminder of my connection to the spiritual world and nature.

When I arrived in New York, I felt the need to bring the ocean to the city. That's when the Jellyfish was born, a symbol of my connection to the sea and my desire to share that connection with others. My jellyfish tattoo on my back is a constant reminder of that connection and the inspiration that led me to create my first glow-in-the-dark jellyfish collection.

As an artist and event designer, I've had the privilege of collaborating with forward-thinking venues and events in New York City. Some of my notable projects include:

House of Yes (Brooklyn) - Brooklyn Mirage - Ifeel - Kustum Kult - Mayan Warrior - We Belong Here Festival in Central Park - Art Basel in factory town Miami.
